Covid-19 has been a global humanitarian crisis that impacted us all.  Our thoughts are with those families that have been directly affected by the pandemic and we are forever grateful for our amazing team and clients who have helped us survive as a business.  The safety and experience of our employees and clients will always be our top priority. Below you will find information about our current Covid related precautions and policies. If your question is not answered, please contact us.

What is your mask policy? (Updated March 2022)

The safety of our staff and clients is always our top priority. Based on the declining Covid infection rates in NY State and New York City, we are pleased to reduce our requirements so that once again, masks are recommended, but not required, in our studios.

Please understand that we may need to modify this policy based on continuing developments and we will do our best to inform all clients ahead of any changes.  We do ask that you respect the privacy, and the decision of any clients who choose to wear, or not wear, a mask while in our studios.

What are your Covid-19 additional safety policies?

We try and maintain reasonable safety precautions, and we appreciate your cooperation with these.  Updated policies will be posted prominently in each studio.

  • All clients must wear socks. Grip socks are preferred.
  • Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your session and no later than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the session.
  • Please depart promptly following the completion of the session.
  • If you are symptomatic or may have been exposed, please stay home.

What is your vaccination policy? (Updated March 2022)

The Key to NYC Pass concluded on March 7th, and at that time we no longer required vaccination status for new clients.  We will continue to maintain vaccination status for existing clients who have shown us their vaccination information, for use in the event that the program is reinstated.  If you would prefer that we delete your vaccination status, please email us at info@aveapilates.com.

What additional precautions is Avea taking?

The safety of our employees and clients is our #1 priority. We are and intend to remain compliant with best practices from the CDC.  The following precautions remain in effect.

  • Additional sanitizing of touched surfaces between each class
  • Vinyl straps are used which can be effectively disinfected between use
  • Cleaning towels are used once and then washed
  • Sanitizer stations available through the studio
  • Deep cleaning of the studio each night
  • Merv 13 air filters in the air conditioning units
  • All cleaning products are compliant with CDC guidelines for disinfectants
  • PPE is available to our employees and emergency supplies of PPE available to clients (e.g. if you choose to wear a mask and your mask breaks during class)
