Dear Avea Pilates Community,
The safety of our staff and clients is always our top priority. The Key to NYC Pass is effective on on Monday, August 16th. This requires gyms, restaurants and entertainment venues to only admit clients and employees who have received at least 1 dose of a Covid vaccine. There is no option to show a negative Covid test for entry.
Unfortunately, we have received no further information from the city on the requirements to implement this program. We are implementing a process that we hope will be compliant while collecting the minimum required information for each client. Please bear with us if we have to change this process based on further information we may receive.
This process will be in place from August 16th. Please do not make a reservation beyond August 16th if you are unwilling to comply with this program.
There are two ways you can share your vaccination status with us.
1. Send an email to email@example.com with a legible photo of your Covid vaccination card at least 48 hours prior to your first registered class post Aug 16th. Please send this email from the email address associated with your account. We are ready to receive your emails now.
2. You can share it on arrival at class with your instructor. You can:
- Show a physical copy or legible photo of your CDC or NYC vaccine card;
- Use the NYC Covid Safe App;
- Use the NYS Excelsior Pass.
The official NYC Page showing acceptable proof is here. If you received your vaccine outside of New York State, we recommend either the physical / photo route, or the NYC Covid Safe App. The NYC App simply stores your ID and a photo of your vaccine card on your phone and takes just a few minutes to set up.
Once we have seen proof, we will store that you have proven your vaccination status in your client record. We will not store any personal information (e.g. date received, # of doses, type of vaccine). You will not need to show proof again once we have updated your client record.
If you prefer that we do not store your status, please let us know, Please note that if we do not store your status, you will be required to show proof each time you come to the studio.
PLEASE PLAN ON ARRIVING 5-10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR CLASS SO WE CAN COMPLETE CHECKS. IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE CLASS HAS STARTED, YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. THE TEACHER CANNOT STOP CLASS TO CHECK YOUR STATUS.
